The Extreme RC 2009 World 540s will be run on Sunday, the 12th of July, as part of the Hobbies Expo @ The Taupo Events Centre, or @ The Spa Hotel.
Racing will BEGIN @ 9am, so please be early to get your car sorted, and scrutineered.
Race Rules are pretty much the same as last year, remembering that the NEW National Rules and Regulations will be enforced.
Entry fee is currently $30.00, but hopefully this will change as sponsors are found.
During registration you will be given a tagged NEW Tin Can motor which is yours to keep, which you must run during the competiton.
The motors will come standard, with bullet plugs, any changes you'll have to sort that out yourselves. If you use Deans on your ESC, make an adapter
There will be spare motors that can be purchased
ONLY MOTORS SUPPLIED WILL BE ALLOWED.
The NEW governing rules apply, size, weight, bumper height, etc.,
At this stage track surface @ the Hobby Expo is bitumen, bloody grippy.
But @ The Spa Hotel, its semi smooth concrete
Entry numbers cutoff at 50, but this will be reviewed depending on entry's received, and Pre Qualifiers.
Please enter before midnight Wednesday the 8th. That will give us time to sort out the draws.
Groups will be made up to a min of 10 cars per group, all randomly drawn by computer.
Grid position will also be drawn, so it's not first in best dressed.
Depending on numbers, working on 50 entries, looking at 5 x 3 race heats (10 Car min in each Group), with A Main (20 Cars) B Main (15 Cars min) and C Main (15 Cars min) 3 heat finals.
Points are (depending on car numbers - working on 10 car heats) - 1st 10, 2nd 9, 3rd 8, and so on. DNF, 1 point (or on lap position). DNS 0 points.
If theres equal points in heats and finals, there will be a 4 lap run off to determine winner.
1 2 minute call per race
NOTE - As per the NEW Rules
Races will be 15 lap heats, and 20 lap finals
Min 2 top cars go trough to A main, next 2 B, next 2 C, last 4 to best of the rest(2 Groups)
If your car get rolled, you have the choice of removal, upon letting race marshal know. If removed its a DNF, 1 point ONLY, otherwise racing will NOT be stopped, unless under special circumstances.
If your car is spat out of the track, its a DNF, 1 point ONLY
If your car somehow manages to get into the infield, its a DNF, 1 point ONLY. THIS IS ALSO AT THE DESCRETION OF THE TRACK MARSHALL, they may stop the race and re-enter the car.
The race marshall decision is FINAL, and NO protests will be received, in otherwords, hard luck sonny.
AMB Transponders will be used, so it is YOUR responsibilty to make sure it is mounted correctly. There will be limited time to make sure they work before the meeting starts. Use this opportunity
Racing will be controlled by computer voice and lights. Green GO, Red STOP. When you hear the siren during racing, it means STOP, remebering there is a NO STOPPING zone near transponder bridge, move forward away from bridge, then STOP.
1 entry means 1 driver with the 1 car, at scrutineering time. The car you scrut is the car you race. No sub drivers, no sub cars.
REMEMBER THE NEW STOCKCAR RULES WILL BE ADHERED TO
Any questions ask away below
Cheers
